Any unemployment be...There's an added wrinkle.<br /><br />Any unemployment benefits you receive cannot possibly make up for a lost income. Bank on the fact that people who are not working are drawing on savings. With unemployed periods being longer and longer, especially for older people, that's money which is almost impossible to truly recover.<br /><br />Consider a person who, at a guess, gets 50% of their working income from unemployment benefits.... now factor in their need for health insurance. And assume they're out for a year.<br /><br />Over the course of working, after they find a job, to make that up just how much more money will they need to make to recoup that loss? Factor in companies using the hard times to undercut salaries - odds are good that money will never be made up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
